What is Land 2027?
The Cultural Landscapes Documentation Training - LanD 2027 is a practice-oriented programme focused on documenting cultural landscapes as dynamic, living systems, using traditional and advanced digital tools and methodologies.
The course is an intensive programme combining theoretical and practical learning components. It includes online sessions, lectures, demonstrations, and culminates in a hands-on field training in Al Ain, using the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hili Oasis cultural landscape as a case study.
The programme aims to strengthen the capacity of emerging professionals from the MENA region and equip participants with approaches and tools to support informed decision making and management of cultural landscapes.

What does this Training offer?
Course Completion & Certification
An OpenBadge Certificate (international standard 1EDTECH) of completion will be issued to participants who have attended and completed the full programme, including all online theoretical sessions and on-site training components.
Who can apply?
The training is open to 20 emerging professionals and early- to mid-career practitioners from the MENA Region, with a background in any of the following disciplines:
Language
The course will be conducted in English.

What are the Course Costs?
Course fee: 750 USD (Scholarships available upon request).
Insurance
All participants are required to have a health and accident insurance covering the entire duration of the on-site training.
Visas
DCT Abu Dhabi can provide visa support for participants who require a visa to travel to the UAE.
